TILLAMOOK, OR – January 18, 2012 - Wind Damage Causes Power Outages
Power has been restored to the greater Tillamook area and in south Tillamook County after BPA transmission lines delivering power to the Tillamook PUD system went down for a short time this morning. Nearly 5,000 customers in Tillamook and 4,000 customers in south Tillamook County were affected by the brief outage. Customers in Oceanside and Netarts were without power for a couple of hours as crews worked to repair damage caused by a tree that had blown down.
Scattered outages continue to occur throughout the county and are keeping Tillamook PUD crews busy. The wind began early this morning causing trees and limbs to fall into the power lines.
